Hi, I am Mariana, and I am the owner and founder of Road and Beach. I live in Sydney, Australia, with my husband and my two sons who are 5 and 9 years old and keep me very busy! I feel so lucky that I can call this amazing city my home.

I have always worn caps. I like to wear caps when out and about with the kids, at the park, at the beach, at the gym, the school run. We spend a lot of time outside, so I am very mindful of protection from the sun. I also wear caps when my hair doesn’t look great (or it needs washing!!!) but I don’t have time to fix it – let’s face it this happens often!

It’s fair to say that I have owned many, many, MANY caps over the years. However, I was always frustrated with how fiddly it was to fit my hair through the back of the caps. My ponytail always sagged, and I had sticky sweaty hair on my neck. And unlucky for me, visors do not suit me!!

I never imagined that one day I would set up a shop selling caps! But after seeing how many of my friends shared my frustrations, I set out on a mission to make this happen. Fast forward 16 long months of testing and perfecting the design and quality of the caps, I now have a cap shop! It feels so surreal even writing this!

I get so much joy from seeing my friends and loved ones looking and feeling great when they wear their Road and Beach caps. Because everyone deserves to look and feel great, even when sweaty!

I am so happy that I am able to offer a product that I wear almost every day and that I genuinely love.
